After tremendous success in India, RRR is now flagging in Japan in terms of earnings. Released in 240 screens in Japan, RRR has earned around 10 crores from Indian Rupees in 17 days. With this, it has become the third highest grossing Indian film in Japan, leaving behind Aamir Khan's film 3 Idiots. Next to this is Rajinikanth's Muthu released 24 years ago and SS Rajamouli's Baahubali 2. Apparently, the film's lead actors Ram Charan and Jr NTR did a tremendous promotion of their film in Japan.

Talking about the earnings of Indian films in Japan, Rajinikanth's film Muthu, which released 24 years ago, still remains at the top with 22 crores. At the same time, Bahubali 2 occupies the second position with around 16 crores. 3 Idiots was at the third position with the earning of 9 crores till now but RRR has now secured the third position with the earning of 10 crores.
RRR collects more than 1200 crores worldwide
RRR has so far collected more than 1200 crores worldwide and still continues to earn money in many parts of the world. Apart from Japan, the film was recently re-released in many cities of America. In the US, the film has collected a record-breaking collection of Rs 110.7 crore. The film has also done a business of Rs 37.8 crore in UAE.
