Decision on 783 cases of cheating in BU: Complete examination of 227 such students canceled, one paper of 540 canceled; Apologies only on 31
So far this year, more than 1000 copying cases have been made in BU, the decision came after hearing twice
Barkatullah University had made more than 1000 cheating cases in the examinations held from January to July this year. The university administration has recently taken a decision on 783 of these cases. The university granted apology to only 31 students, while 540 subjects or papers have been cancelled. At the same time, the exams of 227 students have been canceled. Before this, in the year 2020, due to Kovid, general promotion was given and in the year 2021, given an opportunity to sit at home and take the exam.
When we assessed the cases of this year from the data of the year 2019, it was found that this year the copying has reduced. The cases were decided expeditiously. In the year 2019, about 800 copying cases were made. Of these, about 55 people were then given amnesty and more than 600 people's subjects or papers were cancelled. In the year 2019, out of the total cases, 80 percent of the students were punished. These students have been banned from giving papers for 1 to 3 years. This year, the committee, after two hearings, granted pardon to only 31 children and 28 cases are still pending.
Cases of copying made more in government colleges
More copying cases have been made continuously in government colleges only. The reason given for this was that every government college has a local flying squad, which prepares cases on the spot. Private colleges were completely dependent on government flying squads. Of the cases heard this year, 576 were in government colleges and only 216 in private colleges.
Three layer system was created to prevent copying
BU had prepared a three layer system to tighten the copycats. Dr. Pawan Mishra, the coordinator of the flying squad team, said that the university has formed more than 20 teams. At the same time, a team was formed separately in each college and the exam hall was connected with CCTV cameras.
